I’m donating from outside the US and I’m having trouble placing a donation.

Please consider the following options:

If you’re making it in tribute to a loved one, please kindly enclose the following information together with your check:

  • Honoree’s Full Name
  • Your Full Name
  • The recipient’s full name
  • The recipient’s email address
  • Your personal message (if any)
I want to make a tribute donation on your form. How do I do that?
In the “Tribute Gift” section, select between “In Honor Of” or “In Memory Of”. Once selected, an option to send a personalized e-card to a recipient should appear on the form. You may tick this checkbox off if you’d like for us to notify a recipient of your tribute gift donation.
Did my donation go through?

You should receive a confirmation email after placing your donation. Kindly check your spam and junk folders as well in case the email was inadvertently filtered there.

If you have done both and still find no email, please consider the following options:

  • Donating again with this direct link to the donation form. Note that the validation/captcha for the donation form appears as a pop-up. You may need to enable that on desktop/laptop, and if you’re using a phone you may need to scroll up to see and complete it.
  • Clearing your internet browser’s cache and placing your donation again on our main donation page. Here are instructions on how to clear your cache.

If not, please consider donating through the Paypal option on the form, if you haven’t yet.

I did not receive a receipt of my donation.
Kindly check your spam and junk folders as well in case the receipt email was inadvertently filtered there. If the receipt is nowhere to be found, please reach out to site support and provide the following information to help us locate your donation.

  • Name used when you placed the donation
  • Email used for the donation
  • Amount donated
  • Date of donation
I cannot place a donation on your form even with its Paypal option.

Please try the following:

I’ve been receiving notifications that you’ve been charging my credit card X amount more than once. What is happening?
It appears that you may have selected the ‘recurring donation’ option when you made your initial contribution. As a result, our system is authorized to charge your card the same amount periodically, based on your chosen frequency (weekly, monthly, or quarterly).

To help us verify this, please reach out to us site support with the following information:

  • Name used when you placed your donation
  • Email used when you placed the donation
  • How much is being charged to your credit card?
  • How many times has this happened (kindly provide the dates)
  • What you would like us to do (stop recurring donation, update how often we should charge the card, etc.)
I’d like to request for a refund of my donation.
Please reach out to us site support with the following information:

  • Name used when you placed your donation
  • Email used when you placed your donation
  • Amount donated
  • Date donated
  • Reason you are requesting a refund (if applicable), and any other information you feel we may need to know.
Please delete my fundraiser.

We would like to request the following information:

  • Name of your fundraiser
  • Email address used when you signed up for the fundraiser
  • Reason for deletion

Kindly send this information to our site support.

I want to update the name or URL of my fundraiser.
We understand the importance of ensuring that your fundraiser’s name and URL are accurate. Please send the following information to site support.

  • Current name/URL of your fundraiser
  • Name/URL you’d like us to change it to

We kindly request 24 hours to coordinate with our donation platform and make this changes. You will be notified promptly one the requested changes have been successfully implemented.

I’d like for you to display the amounts each donor has donated on my fundraising page.
We understand the desire for fundraisers to track individual donor contributions. However, to respect the privacy wishes of donors who prefer to keep their contributions confidential, we are currently unable to display donor-specific amounts on fundraising pages. This limitation applies to all fundraisers due to the platform’s design.

We value the transparency and accountability that donor-specific donation amounts can provide to fundraisers. As an alternative, we are happy to generate a confidential report detailing donor names and their respective contribution amounts upon completion of your fundraiser.

Kindly contact site support once you are ready to request for a report. Please include the following information:

  • Name of your fundraiser
  • URL of your fundraiser

What is the direct link to my fundraising page? I’d like to share it with friends and family.
You may copy-paste the URL that appears on your browser’s address bar when you view your fundraiser.
Will my donation really go to help the Maui Community?

We understand your concern about ensuring that your donation directly impacts the community you care about. We are committed to maximizing the impact of your generosity, and that’s why we carefully allocate every dollar we receive.

93% of your donation goes directly to our Program Services, which means it funds the programs and activities that directly support the community.

5% of your donation is used to cover Fundraising Expenses, which are essential for raising awareness of our work and attracting new donors and partnerships.

2% of your donation is allocated to Administrative Expenses, which cover the costs of running our organization.

In essence, your donation fuels our ability to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve. We are deeply grateful for your support towards the Maui Community.

We do not store any credit card information. They are processed securely by a third-party payment processor.
